WHY WE SHOULD STOP TRUSTING POLLS

A while back I told Grab-nation that indeed I do follow polls. But a few occurances happened in this past week that have made me rethink my allegiance to random samples of folks answering questions. First, all the pollsters said Barack was only going to get 40% in South Carolina. Of course he blew everyone away when he put up a double nickel. What's more, the most recent "grab-shot" has only one person (ONE!) who says that they think I should get exclusive naming rights on little man.

Well, unnamed person who voted in the poll correctly: I may not know who you are, but all I can say is that you are wise, valaint and willing to vote your conscience. bravo, stranger, bravo.

To those of you who voted to be patient, I applaud your sentiment... but this kid isn't gonna wait forever. Would you be willing to change your vote say this time next week?

Dr. Phil not Puxatanney Phil came out of his hole today and saw his shadow...he called to tell that there would be 3 more weeks of the Name Little Man Contest left but not to worry because Damon and Amy already KNEW Little Man's Name...

I hate to break it to you, but I think that "valiant" person just accidentally clicked the wrong option. Just ask the Florida butterfly ballot victims of 2000....

Perhaps the fact you misspelled responsibility caused some voters to re-think their decision to grant you sole decision making on the name. This might have been your "Dan Quayle Moment." Of course, at least you didn't write, "and then we're going to Rocco and Barak and Colorado... YEEARGGH!!!!"
