GOOD MORNING!!!!

So Amy and I have been into this "Happiest Baby on the Block" (Thanks to the MULITPLE friends who sggested it). The premise is that human noggins would be too big to birth if we let babies stay in until they were fully cooked. As such, the first three months or so are really just a "fourth trimester". In order to make sam happy we try and replicate conditions before last week. This means a tight swaddle, lots of motion and the constant swooshing sound that he would have been groving on in utero.

Luckily, the fine folks at brookstone offer a white noise machine and last night we used it so he could sleep. he did better than he has been doing, and another small victory is acheived!!!

We are *still* using white noise w/ HamBone. Good job, and good sleep!

Maybe you all "grove" out West, but here in these parts we "groove!"

Keep up the good work...

We have white noise machines running in both kids' rooms all night and for every nap. They are good stuff. I was also the king of the tight swadle.

Good stuff. Beautiful kid.

A good swaddle is a beautiful thing, but beware baby books. Take what works, but discard what doesn't, rather than thinking you are doing something wrong.

Every baby is different. One kid will appreciate the security of being tightly wrapped up and be fine. But a different kid will develop all sorts of issues when it's finally time to unwrap the burrito, or won't be able to sleep without you loudly SSHHHHH-ing in their ear all the time, which is annoying for everyone.

We gave l'il Stephen some white noise and swaddled him for a while, but after a few weeks he was always busting his arms out, which told us he was ready to stop being treated like a TexMex delicacy.

Do you guys have a miracle blanket? They are the greatest things ever. www.miracleblanket.com (and they sell them on amazon). I'd send you ours right now if Santiago could sleep without it.
